Should there be stricter gun control laws?

Stricter gun control laws or no? That is a question that is frequently asked these days due to the increasing number of public shootings on college and school campuses, as well as, other public places around the world. Personally, I feel that the world would be much safer if stricter gun control laws were enforced.

First of all, stricter gun control laws are needed to limit the number of guns that an individual is able to purchase.

In doing so, there would be less resale to people who should not or cannot purchase them. This would help reduce the amount of violent crime committed on a daily basis.

Second, if someone is going to have a gun, they need to be required to have a gun license. Once again, this would limit the ability for just anyone to have a gun.

Also, stricter gun control laws need to be enforced  in order to reduce the national suicide rate.

In closing, I know that by doing these things, it will not eliminate all crime, suicides, and shootings. However, it will reduce the amount of, and limit the ability, for these things to happen. The world would truly be a safer place with stricter gun control laws.

Swallowing Stones Book Review

Book Review

Swallowing Stones is a very interesting book.  Although i don’t really like the ending.  Swallowing Stones is a book about this boy named Michael McKenzie, that killed a girl’s father on accident.  Now the police are involved and are investigating to find the killer of Charlie Ward.  Ever since the shooting happened that had killed Jenna’s father, the police have been questioning everyone in the 4 blocks that the gun could have been shot from.  The reason i don’t to much care for the ending is because you are never able to find out what happened to Michael McKenzie or his friend Joe.  Even though the ending isn’t too well i strongly encourage you to read this book because it teaches you lesson, and the lesson is that anything can be all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
